What to Do If Activation Fails?
Answer:
Caution First-Time Activation Failure:
- Ensure your activation code is entered correctly (case-insensitive) and that you are connected to the internet.
- To confirm the connection to the Lanren SMS server, try logging in and out. If login and logout work fine, your app is properly connected to the Lanren SMS server.
Caution Subsequent Activation Failure:
- If the activation was successful before but is now failing, in addition to the checks above, also verify the following:
- Is the activation code expired?
- Is the activation code still being used on another phone? If so, you need to click Shift Activation Code on that phone before using it on the new device.
Caution Additional Checks:

If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, confirm that the activation code you purchased matches the software you are trying to activate. For example, if you are trying to activate Lanren SMS Forwarder, but the code is for Lanren Auto Reply, it will not work.

Additionally, activation codes are edition-specific, such as Professional or Enterprise editions, and codes for different editions are not interchangeable.

Is the Activation Code bound to the Phone or the Phone Number?
Answer:
It is bound to the phone, not the phone number. Therefore, reinstalling the Lanren SMS Forwarder app or flashing your phone should not affect your activation or membership status. If you encounter any issues, please contact customer support.
How Many Times Can I Use the Activation Code? Do I Need to Keep It?
Answer:
The activation code supports use on different phones and is theoretically unlimited in usage. However, you should store it safely, preferably writing it down in a notebook to prevent loss or forgetting. Excessive activation or transfer operations may trigger risk controls, so please use it cautiously.
Will I Still Have Membership If I Change Phones?
Answer:
If you are switching to a new phone and will no longer use the Lanren SMS Forwarder app on the old one, please click Shift Activation Code on the original phone. This will allow you to activate the app on your new phone.
If you plan to use Lanren SMS Forwarder on both phones simultaneously, you will need to purchase an additional activation code.
